Cakes
Making an impressive fall dessert doesn’t need to be complicated, and this vegan pumpkin cake is proof! It’s incredibly easy to whip up, and it can all be done in a single bowl, with no electric mixer. This is one of my favorite desserts to throw together when I don’t have much time, and it always turns out delicious.
Prefer your pumpkin cake as cute little single-serve cupcakes? I’ve got you covered! These cupcakes are as cute as they are delicious. They taste just like the pumpkin cake above, but come are perfectly sized for one person to enjoy.
These cupcakes are great for fall birthday parties, and are always a hit with kids. They’re especially delicious with vegan cream cheese frosting piled on top!
Apples may be available year round, but fall is definitely the time of year when they’re at their best, and available in so many delicious varieties.
If you’re as much of an apple lover as I am, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of apple season and bake up this vegan apple cake. It’s sweet and spiced with an amazing texture, and gets topped off with cinnamon crumble topping and vanilla glaze.
Apples get a lot of attention this time of year, but let’s not forget about pears! Pears are my husband’s favorite, so I felt compelled to create a dessert putting them in the spotlight.
What I love about this cake is it’s simplicity! It’s a humble, unfrosted one-layer cake, but I promise you’ll fall in love at first bite. This one is bursting with juicy pear chunks and flavored with just a hint of cinnamon. SO GOOD!
If you can’t get enough of those warming fall spices, then this cake is for you! It’s incredibly easy and made from pantry staples, so you can keep the ingredients on hand and bake one up whenever the occasion arises.
This cake is great to bake in the fall, and onward into the holidays and winter months, thanks to it’s decadent, richly spiced flavor.
Pies
I’m just going to say it: my vegan sweet potato pie is even better than traditional sweet potato pie! This pie features a base made with maple syrup, coconut milk, sweet potatoes, and — something you won’t find in traditional sweet potato pie: spices! You’re totally welcome to leave the spices out if you’re a purist, but if you give the recipe a try as written, I know you’ll love it!
Traditional apple pie is almost vegan. Almost! It’s one of those dishes where it can be vegan, but you’ve got to watch out for questionable ingredients like butter or lard in the crust, or sugar that’s been processed using animal products.
My apple pie recipe is 100% vegan, and the accompanying post will tell you all about what ingredients you’ll need to buy with care. It’s also, in my humble opinion, the best apple pie recipe ever, vegan or not!
Pumpkin pie is a must-have for the holidays! And since it is a custard-based pie, it must be difficult to make without eggs, right?
Nope! This vegan pumpkin pie recipe is as simple as can be, and uses easy to find ingredients. I’ve also been told by vegans and non-vegans that it was the best pumpkin pie they ever had!
This vegan pecan pie is just about the ultimate in decadence! It’s made with crunchy pecans embedded in a gooey, caramelly, custard filling. The fact that it’s made without eggs not only makes this pie totally vegan, but also way easier to make than a traditional pecan pie!
Cookies
I don’t know about you, but oatmeal raisin cookies were my absolute favorite when I was a kid, so I absolutely had to veganize the classic recipe that I grew up enjoying. With oats, raisins, nuts, spices, and that chewy texture we all love, these vegan oatmeal raisin cookies taste just like the ones you grew up eating, but are made without any eggs or dairy.
Have you ever had a snickerdoodle? It’s kind of like an extra chewy, slightly tangy sugar cookie that’s coated in a delightful cinnamon sugar coating. These cookies are perfect for everything from fall snacking to holiday gifting, and they’re absolutely heavenly when dunked in a big glass of almond milk.
If you love the flavor of gingerbread, these cookies are for you! They have that classic sweet, gingery, molasses flavor, but are soft, chewy, and much simpler to make than fancy decorated vegan gingerbread cookies. Fall is the perfect time to enjoy a couple of these with a hot beverage (dunking highly encouraged!).
Quick Breads
Cranberries are only in season for a short time during the fall months, so be sure to grab a bag while you can and whip up a loaf of this delicious cranberry orange bread. It has the most amazing balance of sweet and tart flavors, and is perfect for enjoying through the fall and into the holiday season. It makes a great gift too!
This is one of my absolute must-make fall recipes. It’s really easy, so yummy, and consists entirely of pantry staples. This loaf is also infinitely customizable! Make it with chocolate chips, nuts, top it with pepitas, frosting, or brown sugar…and it’s delicious in every variation!
This delicious treat is made by swirling a layer of gooey cinnamon sugar through a loaf of sweet vanilla quick bread. The recipe uses a really simple technique of layering the batter with cinnamon sugar, but always turns out really cool looking and incredibly delicious.
I love baking up this loaf when I need a last minute easy dessert to serve guests!
More Vegan Fall Desserts
This apple crisp is just about one of the easiest desserts ever to make, and oh man is it tasty! All you need to do is mix up some apples with sugar and spices, top them with a quick oat-crumble topping, and bake everything up to perfection. It’s delicious all by itself, but even better with some vegan vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
If first came up with this recipe after I took up sourdough baking and ended up with a surplus of leftover bread on my hands. It was an amazing success, and trust me, you won’t ever be tempted to throw out leftover bread again! This vegan bread pudding recipe transforms it into a gooey, sweet, decadent dessert.
This pumpkin cheesecake combines the flavors of pumpkin pie and classic cheesecake. Instead of eggs and dairy, the base is made primarily from cashews, and requires no baking! This delicious treat is great for the holidays, but it also makes an impressive dessert for any special fall dinner.
This one may look fancy, but it’s actually really easy to make! The trick is to use frozen puff pastry, which then get stuffed with a juicy apple cinnamon filling and baked to golden perfection. Even creating that stunning braid is simpler than you’d think, and I’ve shown you how to do it, step by step, within the blog post accompanying the recipe.
Imagine waking up to warm vegan cinnamon rolls, made with fluffy sweet dough swirled with gooey cinnamon sugar filling and drizzled with vanilla glaze. Well, good news! This recipe has an overnight option, so you totally can! Just assemble the rolls and get them ready in your baking pan the day before serving. Refrigerate them overnight, then pop them in the oven in the morning.
