If you like deep fried Brussels sprouts, you will love Brussels sprouts!
I fried all the things. I’m in love with that crispy crunchy texture that the air fryer gives vegetables. It’s funny because I thought our main use for the air fryer would be for frozen fries, but more often than not we’ve been air frying vegetables. It’s been all vegetables, all the time. Okay, and the chicken, because I’m obsessed with air fried chicken.
Anyway, after the success of the air fryer broccoli, I knew the next vegetable I had to make was Brussels sprouts. I love the taste of Brussels sprouts when roasted and wanted to do a comparison with air fryers. The result: crispy charred leaves with soft sprouts. They aren’t as tender when air-frying unless you add extra time, but I really like my veggies with a bit of a bite, so I don’t mind at all. I especially loved that I was able to whip up a Keto Baked Brussels Sprouts vegan snack so quickly.

How to Make the Freshest Brussels Sprouts: Air Fryer Edition
- Cut and halve the sprouts. Cutting the sprouts in half means the insides will be tender in no time. It will also give your sprouts more surface area and fresher.
- Toss with oil. Pour a little oil so that the sprouts get a nice golden color and are evenly crisp. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fry in the air. Air fry, stopping occasionally to give the air fryer a shake.
- Clothing. While the sprouts are cooking, make a quick sauce. When the sprouts are done, toss them in the sauce and enjoy immediately!
Pro tip: I like to add aromatics when I stir-fry because it makes the sprouts more flavorful and you can eat them afterward. Air-fried shallots (or onions or garlic) are delicious.

The best air winner?
If you’re wondering which pan we have, this is it. I don’t know if it’s the best on the market because it’s the only one we’ve used, but it works great. It’s quiet and easy to clean and really big (which is good because you can put a lot of food in it and bad because it takes up a lot of space in our place).
Happy blush in the air!
